One of the cities of Rajasthan, Udaipur is better known all around the world for its beauty and for its prospered nature and human creations. Getting depressed with the regular attacks of the Mughals over his old capital Chittorgarh , King Udai Singh shifted his capital to the banks of Lake Pichola and named it as Udaipur.

The magnificent gardens, parks, lakes, marbled palaces and imposing buildings heightens the beauty of this city. The best period for visiting ‘City of Lakes’ is during the month of September.

The shadow of the grand ‘City Palace’ built on the eastern bank of ‘Pichola Lake’ thrills the inner heart of everyone. ‘City Palace’ is the largest palace of Rajasthan. Holy Mother Dhuni and the Museum of Rana Pratap are also worth seeing spots of City Palace. The grand ‘Jagdish Temple’ is also situated near to City Palace. One of the gardens namely ‘Saheliyon Ki Bari’ developed during the eighteenth century is also located near to it. ‘Lake Palace’ is the centre of attraction in Udaipur. It was built between 1743 and 1746. The shadow of the palace falling over the water of the lake brings the feeling as if the palace is floating in the lake.
